Mamay gorge is one of the best powder spots in Siberia and at the same time it is the most picturesque one. Here the skitouring begins right outside the door of the hut, and the slopes are accompanied by a view of lake Baikal. There is nothing superfluous, a backcountry in its pure form. Tons of snow, snow-covered forest, challenging terrain, harmony with nature and Siberian flavor make this place number 1 in our hit parade. Depending on the condition of the group, it is quite possible to do 2-3 descents per day in deep snow and to gain 1000 - 1500 vertical meters. Tours from the hut typically range from 400-600m in vertical gain.
